Upgrade works on Nansana-Nabweru Road progressing smoothly. the 1.66km stretch is steadily transforming and taking on a modern look, a significant boost to connectivity and improved mobility within our municipality

EXAMINING AUDITS 2024/2025

Today we interfaced with Wakiso District Local Government Public Accounts Committee (DPAC), led by Mr. Aloysius Ssemanda, to examine our audits for FY 2024/2025. This engagement aligns with section 88(7-9) of the Local Government Act, CAP 243.

JOB CREATION OF GREATER KAMPALA METROPOLITAN

Eco-Shelter & Environmental Consultants, together with Spot Surveyors & Engineering Consultants Ltd, have presented concept design options for the Nansana Daily Market to us & other stakeholders. This is under the Job/Workspace Creation pillar.

FINANCIAL LITERACY

We are thankful to a team from housingfinance Uganda led by Mr. Richard Bob Sema (Manager, Incremental Housing Loans) & Mr. Mawanda Deogratias (Manager, HFB Nansana Branch) for the great insights during our Financial Literacy & Business Linkages workshop.

URBAN DEVELOPMENT

Greater Kampala Metropolitan Area Urban Development Program (GKMA-UDP). The initiative is expected to improve market infrastructure, provide a safer and more organized workspace, enhance service delivery, create more job opportunities, and strengthen the local economy.

FOSTERING EDUCATION IN OUR COMMUNITY

We've significantly strengthened fostering education in our community. We also met with SMC/PTA chairpersons & members, and school admins in Gombe Division to enhance service delivery in gov't-aided primary schools, ensuring our children receive the best possible education.

STRAY DOG DESTRUCTION

Attention Dog owners: NDC successfully carried out a stray dogs destruction exercise in Kazo, Nabweru South & Nabweru North. Similar exercise on Thursday in Nansana East, West & 7/8 Ochieng. Keep domestic dogs indoors to avoid inconveniences.

TREE PLANTING

We have boosted tree planting in the Municipality. Busukuma Division – 161 trees planted along various roads. Gombe Division – 76 trees planted along various roads.
